Dear Watch Enthusiasts,
Welcome to my watch site that started as a
collection documentation. In September 2007, I have decided to restructure
the main page and start with the watch works rather then my collection. I also
tried to sort all sections according to their popularity with you visitors.
My watch and watch photography journey would not have been possible
without the many online and real world friends. For this great common adventure
I thank you all!
Best regards
Reto Castellazzi, Bangkok, Thailand, Sunday, April 27, 2008

Please read this before disassembling your
Minute Repeater!
I am not a watchmaker. My knowledge comes from experimenting, trial and error and
I had the luck of having a friend teaching me watchmaking basics. I will try to
provide as accurate
information as possible, but please understand, that I can not
take responsibility for anything that might go wrong if you try these watch works
at your home. If you start experimenting on your own, then please start with an
inexpensive watch. Browse the local flea market. Find a mechanical watch at a great
price that is eventually running a bit, maybe stopping. This way you know that cleaning
it will most likely solve the problem. These guinea pigs should cost you little,
however
if you succeed to getting them up and running again, your joy will be limitless.
And success will give you confidence to go one step ahead and try more difficult repairs.
I have put together a
watch starter kit at a great price that should
help you to get started quickly and affordably! And last but not least: I have
broken things, and you will too. Do not let failure discourage you. Good luck!
