Measurement note
this is just my spare movement collection.
It is not meant to a technical specification table. Please see the movement
links below for manufacturers' technical specifications. Also I noticed that
watch manufacturers do not measure the variable cannon pinion height (depends on
e.g. applied indices on the dial). I am also not sure whether or not the rotor
screw height is included in the manufacturer's measurements. I measured the
movement height with my caliper placing it next to the cannon pinion on the dial
side and next to the rotor screw on the rotor side.

Watch Movement research on the Web - Links open new windows! |
| Dr. Ranfft's great movement database (bid-fun) - Undoubtedly the best movement resource on the web for Swiss, German, Japanese and Russian movements. There are 3889 movements in this database (Jan 2007). There is a search function too. This is as good as movement research on the web gets! |
| ETA Mechanical Movements for Sale (O.Frei) - This links to a sales page, but this is also a very popular movement resource. Plus you can buy the movements from here! |
| ETA Technical Documents - You do not need to be a customer to have access to all service manuals with drawings of all ETA movements! A great web resource! Also interesting, for the more complex ETA movements (Mecaline Specialties), the website also lists user manuals (operation instructions), e.g. for ETA 2893 etc. |
| Miyota (Citizen) Movement Specifications - Citizen's movement division is called Miyota and offers a great website with specifications and drawings |
|
Links showing additional Chinese Movements not found in Dr. Ranfft's Movement Archive |
| Seagull Movement Drawings - Drawings of Tsinyi (Seagull) movements. Please note that is site uses different movement numbers, e.g. ST-16 is referred to as TY2846 etc. |
|
Seagull Movement Website (Chinese language) - Shows movement
pictures of all Seagull (Tsinyi) movements, ST-6, ST-16 and their
variations. They updated and changed their website and have also
included some ENGLISH keywords now, so navigation has become easier
