Bergeon Movement Pad or Casing cushion 5394

Another trick learned from a watch maker: A casing cushion or movement pad works great as a basis for most case opening attempts. But please do not try to hard, if the case back sits tight, you must use a watch case holder. Otherwise the risk of slipping and leaving ugly marks on the case back is too big.

Remember - although this little pad can be great to save the time to mount the watch into the case holder which in most cases includes removing the bracelet - there are no shortcuts in watch work! Know what you are doing and judge the risks well. Marks in case backs are difficult to remove or buff out!
