Watch Books
The
most comprehensive review of watch books I know of is at
ThePurists.com by Thomas
Mao, a very passionate and enthusiastic watch collector, author, forum owner and
editing consultant. I have created my own page, since I found if I write
mini-reviews about my books, I will have a completely different look at them,
not just pulling e.g. the reference books out of the shelf every now and then.
I have lately updated (Mar 2006) a couple of book mini-reviews and added a few
more pictures of new books (de Carle, 2005 Shugart). I have also added a
comparison of my watch repair books. I have further more separated the repair
books from the collector books and revised my general comments about the
collector books. Of course this is a page that will be growing with time, so
please come back if you found it useful. And please do note, these are just my
opinions. Other people might have entirely different preferences due to
different interests. Thus one has to always keep in mind that book reviews are a
rather personal matter.
