WS 19: Servicing a SEIKO Chronograph 6138
The automatic winding system has been mounted. The hole for the crown stem has been slightly widened using a round Tungsten tool tip. The pusher holes and the stem opening were greased with silicon. The pusher O-rings replaced. The case gasket ring (34 mm) had been replaced. Time to close the case back and leave this beautiful movement in the dark until the next service is due. It will actually be a bit earlier. If you remember, I had mentioned that Rob plans to repaint the sub dial hands. One more picture and you are done with the most detailed report I have ever written and my fingertips hurt accordingly. As usual I applied the "make it in one go" report writing method in order not to delay the finishing indefinitely.
