WS 27: How to make wrist support watch bands
SLING I
You will find a wrist shot of "SLING I" later on the promenade. I used a ca.
14 inch (rule of thumb for length: Approx. twice your wrist size plus 10%,
mine is 6.5 inch) long and 2 inch wide leather band. The width is required for
sufficient wrist support.
All you need to do is to wrap the band around your wrist and determine the
positions of the buttons. Keep it rather tight, leather tends to became a bit
longer with use. Also note, that the small extra band on top which is intended
to eventually hold a watch or a compass, can also be used to adjust the tension
of the wrist support. That is why I used screws and I have cut 4 holes into the
smaller band to be able to fine adjust the tension. Of course this also allows
to fine adjust for different heights of watches.
