WS 20: Replacing the battery on a Patek Philippe Ladies' Quartz Nautilus

The ingenious case construction

The Nautilus case construction is really ingenious. The bezel and crystal are pressed onto the lower "one piece case" with only four screws. The screws are inserted into the four sides of the extensions that you see sticking up from the bezel. Since I did not find any service markings inside the watch, I am quite sure, I was the first one to open this case. The more I was surprised to find those 4 screws sitting very lose. When closing the case, I tightened them slightly firmer.
