Step 4: Removing rotor and the automatic module
Now it is time to mount the movement into the
movement holder. Please make sure, that the movement is securely locked, but
please always check the sides of the movements for parts that might be damaged
if the movement is placed into the watch case holder. Always double check if the
movement is securely fix, since the movement holder is built to accommodate many
movements and I found that the movement slipped out quite easily at times.
Loosen the two screws on the automatic module bridge and eventually use the
pegwood or brass pincers to loosen the bridge before lifting it off.
Please have a good look at the parts of the automatic module: 2 bridge screws, 1 4-spike wheel, 2 wheels, 1 spring and the bridge. Later you will learn, why I want you to have a good look now.
