On 3rd July 2003 I was resting my eyes a bit watching TV. I know this is a bad joke. But the movie did not require my full attention, so I pulled out my hmt collection box and looked at the watches. The second watch I looked at, behaved very strangely and the winding was inconsistent. Also the hands quickly moved backward during the winding. I remember that I had opened this watch to write this article, but as I remembered, I simply popped off the snap-on back and there was nothing unusual at all. I had set the time for the wrist shot to 10:10 so I am sure I would have noticed anything strange. Watching the movie was immediately canceled, the tool box was required now.
But before you will see the shot of the other side of the movement showing the keyless works where the problem was supposedly, have a look at this nice 17 Jewels hand wind movement licensed from Miyota Citizen. The finish is not great, yet all makes sense here. The movement is really very nice to look at. Have a look at the close-up picture at the bottom of this page.
