Why I think this watch is interesting:
The SHOGUN (some nicknamed it SUMO, but the watch is not that "fat") has arrived at PMWC! A Shogun was a Samurai General, that description characterizes the beauty of this 6R15 based Diver better in our eyes. With 44 mm excluding crown it is a big watch but wears very elegantly also on smaller wrists. Just look at the wrist shot on the last picture on this page! A truly beautiful new SEIKO Diver with the exciting new 6R15 caliber that is hand winding and hacking!

About 5 years ago I missed out on a SEIKO Marine Master because someone made a very quick PayPal payment to the seller. I still sometimes think about that Marine Master, but with the SHOGUN (the watch on this page) being available, I am feeling easier... because the SHOGUN is going to fill that niche in my collection one day!

Watchbox and Papers: Original Seiko box like in picture, instruction manual (picture) but no warranty as this is a Japan only model for which we never get warranty papers. But for two reasons you can buy this items with confidence: first, Seiko has a very good quality record and second, should there be a problem, we also have a record to be there for you if there is a problem.

Specialties: Movement: 6R15 23J Automatic, hand winding and hacking. E.g. the whole 7Sxx series, the 7S26 being the most popular, cannot be hand wound (via the crown) and also the 7Sxx series does not hack (second hand stops when crown is pulled out, a nice feature to set the watch to an exact time source and a must have feature for military watches)









Watch comes with instruction manual but no warranty. This is a Japan Only model and we are never getting those papers. However, SEIKO has a great quality record and PMWC has an equally great record about helping out customers if there should be any problems

On Helen's 5.25 inch or 13.5 cm wrist - big, but not really too big! Definitely perfect for wrists 7 inch plus... and I would wear it definitely on my 6.5 inch wrist even I find my personal 'biggest' is 42 mm. This watch is just too tempting to be passed... for me, it would definitely fill the void that the missing out on that SEIKO Marine Master has left :)
