Modern PVD watches are a lot more scratch resistant then their predecessors from the 70ies and 80ies, the black surface will stay black and not chip off as it was the case with some older PVD watches! My black PVD Orsa Quartz Diver got quite a bit of beating during my Swiss vaction, skiing, ice, snow, children playground etc. and still looks like new!

A very clean dial - actually FORTIS is one of the brands that always manages to create highly legible dials
