CITIZEN's surface hardening patented DURATECT system of course applies also to steel watches, although it has been advertised a lot in conjunction with the Titanium watches. DURATECT watches are much less prone to scratches then regular stainless steel watches. CITIZEN claims up to 3 to 4 times more scratch resistance. Definitely a good thing to have with a Titanium sports watch that supposed to accompany us outside the offices.

Why I think this WATCH is interesting:
Great 70ies looks! Stunning light weight: 85 grams! Packed with the essential functions: Chrono, Alarm, Dual Time! Forget about the battery, keep wearing it, even the Calendar is PERPETUAL. A great Allrounder that goes with a suit, a polo shirt and with swim trunks equally well. 100 m WR.

Yes, that is me in the reflection of the bezel! And that is just some little water drop on the top right corner of the cushion case and not a material defect. Japanese Quality Control is legendary and such a watch would never leave their factories to make it into distribution!
