The real advantage of the Eco-Drive Eclisse is, that there is no more esthetical compromises regarding the watch dial. The solar cells are hidden in the inner bezel! This explains why those watches have such great looking dials. The Eclisse Eco-Drive also features a correct Time Warning function. If the watch has not been used for a couple of months and stopped in due course, the second hand will jump in 2 second steps once the watch is exposed to light again to warn the wearer that the time might not be correct. The Eclisse Eco-Drive also incorporates the Overcharge Protection function, a function that is present in most Eco-Drive watches.

Very hard to catch this great dial with the circular pattern without reflections! The inner part of the dial is sunburst, a very nice looking watch face! I tried hard, but my pictures do not do the beauty of this dial justice at all!

The bracelet is really great quality, the smart buttons and the make of the bracelet reminded me of bracelets of watches that cost triple the amount of the money!

Why I think this WATCH is interesting:
CITIZEN ATTESA is a higher tier watches that is hardly available outside Japan. In 1998 I had bought an analog-digital ATTESA in Tokyo (not for sale, from private collection), that is how I got aware of that CITIZEN range of models. The new Eco-Drive ECLISSE features solar cells on the inner bezel. Thus no more design compromise on the watch face. That explains those stunning dials on these ATTESAS! The watches are big with 40 mm excluding crown, but the weight is fantastic light due to Titanium and the watches are very slim! Only 8.5 mm will make sure, this will fit very nicely under your long sleeve shirt. A very good looking dress watch, that is also a great all-rounder due to its 100 m WR!
