URIKA original plastic boxes from the 70ies
The URIKA original box is used for the Gents and Ladies
Some collectors really appreciate the original packaging. Something I have learned from fellow collectors only a few years after I had started collecting. These plastic boxes look very good despite their age. Obviously a much better packaging material then some of my Omega, Jaeger-LeCoultre and IWC boxes. Especially those white ones from the late 80ies and 90ies. Also some of my Rolex and Tudor boxes did not like the tropical climate. I had to dispose of quite a few of those because the material deteriorated and became sticky. There was really no pint in keeping them.
I have not even tried to get new boxes from the manufacturer. Maybe something I need to do in the future. Bucherer for example replaces boxes that turned ugly without hesitation. These packaging problems of some of the luxury brands are reflected in the high prices of online auctions for original boxes.
