you can also see that the whitish dial has some sparkly surface texture. Of course this watch also features the TIMEX patented Indiglo (TIMEX lingo for electro-luminescent backlight). Simply press in the crown at 3 o'clock and the whole will be illuminated in that typical bluish EL light.
If you look closely at the tips of both hour and minute hands, then you see that they both have an interesting tip. The tips are optimized to make a defined contact with the minute and hour springs mounted on the two inner turning bezels. This will allow the alarm to sound at exactly the preset time.
