Seiko AGS from 1988

Something very surprising about this watch
I remember that I was wearing it in Bangkok 1990
and then I had to shake it almost the whole day to keep it going. Two Japanese
gentleman looked at me with some distrust in the hotel lift seeing me shaking my
AGS. I just showed them the watch and said "Made in Japan" and then the smiled
at me extremely friendly
This year around Easter I was talking this watch out of the safe in
Switzerland after it had been resting for more then 7 years and it worked
perfectly. Once it was charged, the capacity did not drop and it ran on the
second for days. There are always wonders
PS This design was one of the longest running Seiko designs, the so called Sports Elegance (SEL), Heuer later also had a Sports Elegance line.
