Seiko 150 Sports Moonphase Chronograph with Date Hand, ca. 1992

The comeback of this dial layout - Criteria models in early 2000
Suddenly the dial layout with a date hand at 3 o'clock was fashionable again when SEIKO launched a big Asian marketing campaign with many (some limited) new models from the "Criteria" line.
When the marketers talked about the "new" date hand, I always had the feeling I had seen this before. Right! This SEIKO from ca. 1988 had exactly that date feature. I had found this watch on the Canary islands in  "Las Palmas" in 1988.
