Handwind with screw-down Crown? No problem!

I think today August 14th 2004 I finally got the trick with those Vostok screw down crowns. It is actually very easy to unscrew the crown and screw it back in. I think those Russian engineers did not just come up with an "el cheapo" trip-lock copy but thought hard on how to make this inexpensive and durable. I was first a bit worried that if the handwind movement is fully wound, the crown would not move anymore. But as soon as you push it back towards the case, the crown frees and you can close it effortlessly. A clever system in my eyes.

I love my "new" Vostok even more in blue!
