Poljot Chronograph, Cal. 3133
(Made in Russia)

I tried everthing during 2 hours

and still ended up with no movement picture of the watch. The case back would not move one Angstrom, it was really frustrating. Even more frustrating then wasting time and nerves were the scratches left in the chromium plated brass case. I had posted on the PMWF and asked what the trick was on opening these snap-on cases. No trick obviously, just tough luck for me with this too tight case back fit
For a non-WIS (watch idiot savant) this would not be a big deal, because the marks are rather small, I really tried to be careful and pressed and squeezed with utmost care, but the brass case was just too soft for the pressure it would have taken to lift this case back off. And of course we WIS are normally pretty fussy about scratches and even when looking at the dial of the watch, we will see all scratches and defects wherever they are on the watch!
