Here is how the three crowns work
The right most crown at 2 o'clock features a knurled locking ring. Which, once unscrewed, allows the crown to set the alarm time and wind the alarm spring. The middle crown solely turns the inner bezel. The crown at 4 o'clock sets the time and winds the watch.
