Omega Seamaster Quartz Special Lillehammer 1994 Olympics Edition
Limited Lillehammer Olympic Edition
I found this Omega Lillehammer in a small watch shop in Zurich Oerlikon (that is the last station in Zurich before the Airport train station). The movement is quartz, god news: the watch comes in a nice box with 5 leather straps in the colors of the Olympic Rings (Black, Yellow, Blue, Green and Red, this is the sequence from left to right). Interesting side note: Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the Modern Olympic Games never linked those colors to the five continents. The watch also comes with a handy strap pin tool that makes it really easy to switch the colors. And in 1994 colorful leather straps were considered still somewhat "avantgarde". Wearing the Yellow and Red strap was fun, not only because the watch looks different with each strap - Red is a great match with the dial logo, but also to see the people trying to find out, what is wrong with that actually normal person wearing those crazy colors.
