Gold-plated Quartz Slimline II by MONDAINE, ca. 1987

Note the big groove above the word "STEEL"
I had found this on several MONDAINE watches (Mirexal is just the retailer's branding). Despite that big opening groove at 11 o'clock in the case, I was not able to remove that very tight case back without leaving a tiny mark. See the movement picture please.
