Junghans "solar 1", ca. 1988

This watch's movement and energy buffer is amazing!
A short while ago (Aug 2009) I had taken the watch out of the box and even
it was exposed only to ceiling light, it started ticking immediately. I think
this had several reasons: a large photovoltaic area (compared e.g. to the small
rings of digital Casio Tough Solar watches). Thin hands with very little weight.
And obviously the oiling state of the movement is still OK after more then two
decades. I was really amazed when I saw the watch immediately starting.
