Heuer SEL Gold-Plated
Interesting is the partial gold-plating
The inside of the bracelet is not gold plated. Normally Swiss watches come with a 10 micron (1 micron is the 1/1000th of a Milimeter) gold-plating and this is the case for this watch too. As a rule of thumb, gold plating will last about twice the years as the microns of the gold-plating. That means a 10 micron watch should appear golden for ca. 20 years. Of course this implies that the watch has not been used as a daily beater. As you can see, I had barely been wearing this watch, so the wearing off of the gold-plating is certainly not a fear factor for me.
