And if you thought I was exaggerating, at this junction the water was about 25 cm high. Unluckily a pedestrian just walked into the picture when I was about to shoot a passing Harley Davidson creating really lovely waves. The friendly owner of a small phone shop allowed me to shoot these pictures out of her shop. I would have had no chance to bring home the Coolpix safely standing on the side walk... on my question why Mongkok's streets were so flooded while other areas seem to have a much better drainage, the sales girl in the phone shop said something along the lines "well, you know, poor man's neighbourhood" ... indeed!
