Givenchy gold-plated Dress Watch

You can see the ETA movement stamp 956.112 just above the Quartz

Otherwise there is nothing special to mention about these very popular ETA movements. But maybe it is interesting to know that the gold (color) coating of those movements makes them pretty oxidation resistant against leaking batteries. I have removed some leaking batteries from those movements and after removing the little plastic insulator between plus and minus pole, I could very easily wipe out the cristallized battery acid residues. Stainless steel plates would be discolored and very hard to clean. Even stainless steel case backs could be discolored by leaking batteries. So as soon as the watch starts slowing or stops, take those batteries out!
