Emilio Carducci Thin Quartz Dress Watch

Again a quick shot under the Desktop Lamp
As I mentioned before, it was the watch work that had priority. My poor shot
here does this actually quite beautiful super flat ETA Movement Cal. ETA 210
001, 8 Jewels barely justice. Notice the bent coil, a trick to save movement
height. The bridges show a circular decoration (perlage) and I have to admit,
this is one of the nicer quartz movements I found during my battery replacement
string. The metal spacer looks pretty crude next to a nicely refined movement,
but at least, that spacer will not show ageing effects like some plastic
spacers. I have a extra flat
Raymond Weil watch
with the same movement that contains one of those plastic spacers as they are
also very popular in Japanese watches. While I have certainly trust that the
chemists did their homework, I personally prefer metal spacers.
The battery R44 (Ucar 346) is really tiny, no wonder it does not last
that long even there is no central second hand.
