B.W. Raymond railroad grade Elgin Pocketwatch, a gift from a watch friend 2006
If you love movements, then buying vintage
is the "Poor Man's" way to get premium quality at the best price. If you can afford Pateks and Vacheron Constatins and other top tier brands, then you are probably not hanging out on this site anyway ;) Of course you are also welcome. "Poor Man's" way is not meant in an elitist or negative way, it just means "More Watch for the Money!". And you never get more "movement for the buck" then with older pocketwatches. Mind you that they are today (2006) rapidly disappearing from the market. The global watch sales catalyst Ebay.com has accelerated that process remarkably.
