so you can not see the dust on the keyboard to well. There are also some slight scratches on the plastic digital display. It was really impossible to keep this watch as new, because the distance between the plastic display and the rubber keyboard was tiny and any dust that remained on the keyboard when closed would start working on the display. I was very careful in the restaurants, a salt grain could have done considerable damage.
Again, despite all the shortcomings I find the flip top concept great. I found it so great that I bought a plastic successor of this watch later. Well, I bought almost all new Casios in the early 90ies :-) as long as they had a DataBank.
