Casio Edifice Tough Solar 5289 (Cased in China), June 2013

Screwed crown with High Speed setting!
The screwed crown provides access to hand setting functions: time, world time and alarm. This watch also features a High Speed 1 and High Speed 2 settings to increase the speed of the hands during the setting process. If you own a Eco-Drive, you might feel familiar with that slow speed of the hands during the setting process. Casio has made a big improvement here by offering fast and very fast hands setting speeds. If the crown is unscrewed, you simply turn 3 times away from you and the hands move with High Speed 1. If that is not enough, give the crown another 3 spins away from you and the hands move with maximum setting speed (High Speed 2).
From this picture you can see the clear lines of this watch. It is a very consistent and thorough case design. The lugs point downward and warrant for a nice hug of the wrist. From reviews on the internet I have learned that some users do not like that the crown has to be unscrewed for some setting functions. And that this cannot be done with the watch on the wrist. I have not found this to be a real problem because you will not use the setting functions very frequently.
