All inscriptions on the back are laser etched
and the back has a mirror gloss finish. A true mirror polish that is. If you are familiar with loupes or microscopes, then you might have noticed that the sharp edges of our wrist hair leave hairlines. These will certainly be more visible after a couple of weeks of wearing. This is the reason why you should never use a tissue paper - even from the softest variety- to clean your watch. Hairlines will be unavoidable and noticeable under magnification. I am not saying I do not like that mirror finish, I am simple prepared to see it covered with hairlines in the future.
For my preference, the etched inscriptions could have a bit more depth. But laser etched inscriptions are always easy to read because of the way they reflect the light. Asking for deeper inscriptions really is one of those crazy WIS thingies. As mentioned before, there is a little extension of the case back at 3 o'clock. This is were you place your case back opener in case the watch needs a new battery. Since all is high polish in the neighborhood, you should tape the case before prying off the back.
