The Bucherer Archimedes Collection Summary - there will be no new models, at least no "BUCHERER" models
Not in the picture because not existing in my
collection, a round Archimedes Automatic with and without Power Reserve. These
model simply did not appeal to me, so I passed. Besides that, these are I
presume all the Archimedes models. Of course they can be had in many variations:
as stainless steel, 2 tone or 18 K, with strap or with bracelet. Except for the
Limited Edition 18K models.
New Archimedes models will be marketed under the brand "CARL F. BUCHERER" -
launched in 2002 after the founder of the Bucherer watch stores. Many of the existing models
above are already available under the "CARL F. BUCHERER" brand. The
prices have risen significantly for the same models, as a rule of thumb they
have almost doubled. The "BUCHERER" brand will continue to co-exist for lower
tier Automatic and Quartz watches. As a result, this "BUCHERER" Archimedes
collection is now going to be a closed project and I trust the watches are
becoming more and more collectible.
**The handwind Lemania 1873 Chronograph is missing from the overview picture since I was too lazy to open the bracelet.
