And this is as close as the Coolpix could get to the rotor with my nightly light setup. I did not make much effort to setup my studio, my first concern was that the work bench was properly organized. I just used a National Desktop lamp with a flexible neck and turned that neck away, so that actually only little light was thrown onto the objects. I found that digital cameras do not really care how much light there is, but that the consistency of the light (no dark and no bright spots) is much more important.
