I stopped using the Indian hands lifter (you find a picture of it here - the black tool next to the hand setting tool). I am back to using the Bergeon hands lifter. I guess I got now better used to it. It is a tool which is quite delicate to use because you have to bring the steel claws underneath the hour hand and then start pressing quite firmly. The white plastic blocks will then lower onto the dial (I am always sweating blood when lifting hands of glossy black dials) and lifts the hour, minute and second hand off. It is important that all hands are aligned before they are lifted off. Here you see the under side of all hands. I find those hands quite clever, combining a black filling and a luminous tip. Results in optimal readability, well now only for the minute hand as you soon will see...
