The back exposes a very nicely gold-plated and finished ETA 2824. I know some of you are going to say "What? Only a 2824?" I have no problem with that at all. The 2824 seems to be a great an universal movement and I am inclined to say, there must be a reason, that the 2824 is probably the most used movement for modifications. Vincent Calabrese and many other AHCI watch geniuses have used the ETA 2824 base caliber for their fantastic creations. So there must be something good about this "Volkswagen" of watch calibers. One good thing is for sure: wherever on this watch planet you are, you will be able to buy spare parts. And to me, that is a good and reassuring feeling and more important then having a sophisticated in-house caliber on the wrist. But then of course and luckily, all our preferences are different, and that makes the watch world such a wonderful one.
