The MKii Vantage can be a chameleon. Kind of formal on the bracelet: A little sportier on a rubber strap. It is a 200 meter watch, after all: Dress up or down, depending on which leather you choose: Toolish, on a Black NATO:by Dave M - Poor Man's Watch Forum Nooooo! Don't do it! >> - Yesterday
>>and if you do, keep that dial in the family, like at my house. I'm making a prediction now that you will like Bill's quality and lume better. I find one thing interesting... ...And if I do, the answer is Yes. That's what I meant by >> "does not try to dominate the shape". I know what you mean... sometimes a strap wants to be it's own shape. Often it just wants to assume the shape of an arc. Sometimes it's the material being overly stiff. Sometimes it's the material being very thick. Sometimes it's geometry... ridges are stiffer than thin sections,by Dave M - Poor Man's Watch Forum White knuckled? That's due to the speed at which I live life! >>Just kidding, of course. The funny thing about that Isofrane... I like them enough that it's my second. This is the 20mm that I wear on the Doxa, and maybe the Typhoon when it materializes. The other is a 22mm with fat Seiko bars that I mainly use on the Tsunami. One thing to consider... I have always been a strap guy. I like bracelets just fine, and I always procure a watch on it'sby Dave M - Poor Man's Watch Forum that's a great one, Adam! The parts house in Kansas City lists only the crystal and crystal gasket. The trouble, of course, comes if they do not fit, you are in Crete, and they are in the USA. You get a tough, waterproof watchby Dave M - TOP 10 Poor Man's Watches 2013 Quite a haul. >>chuckle just a little. I have tried things like that, but I did not have the courage to show them here. The white Antimagnetic Amphibia looks promising! I had one, and I liked it. But, it went to a good home. Then, it went to another good home! It should have the Vostok 2409 movement in there, but a 2414 (same thing with date) will drop right in if you need a replacement.by Dave M - Poor Man's Watch Forum Good morning, Larry, PRS5 today... - 3 days ago

First off, a little observation about Jeremy's 6139... My 6139 caseback has the number 6139-6005, and the dial has the number 6139-6009. Unlike Jeremy's fine example, I know that mine is all original, because it was my Dad's daily wearer back in the late '70s. So, I don't know why they are like that, I just know that it is okay that they are. Also in the rotation, a few mods... >>refers to the desert tan Zulu. A long time ago, I began to notice that Brad (jinxed) would use the desert tan Zulu on many watches, and they all looked great. For me, Brad was the guy who showed how awesome the combination can be. So, I got a 20mm for this watch, and 22mm to swap between my Tsunami and some Seiko divers, and now it's one of my favorite combos.by Dave M - Poor Man's Watch Forum Orange Watch Co milsub for me; wearing it "Denver Style" >> - 7 days ago
