I was watching a re-run of one of my favorite TV shows from the 70s, Emergency! and noticed that one of the main characters was wearing a pretty cool watch. John Gage had on what looked to be a two register chronograph, but I couldn't tell exactly what it was...does anyone know what it is? And if recommendations can be made without violating forum rules, who, what, where would you recommend to perform the necessary service? I can't seem to be able to find any watch maker who is willing to work on these Russian/Soviet beauties. Actually I think one of the pilots does wear a Rolex GMT Master (or a good copy of one). If memory serves, Pan American Airlines struck a deal with Rolex in the late 1950s or very early 1960s to supply their pilots with that specific watch. The reason was that Pan Am was expanding internationally and its pilots and navigators needed watches that were capable of indicating GMT. The watch was bought new-old-stock, and any answers would be appreciated. Respectfully, Fifty Fathomsby Fifty Fathoms - Russian Watches by Ed Brandwein WTB Timex 200 feet Dive Watch - 1 year ago

...that the current fad of pocket watch sized wrist watches will ever die? Will we ever get back to what I consider "normal" sized wrist watches? You know, the 34-36mm cases meant for men to wear? I saw one on a guy the other day that was so big that it looked like he'd strapped his bedside alarm clock to his wrist! That monstrosity had to be at least 55-60mm!
