I don't know I will be banned for this and really don't care. I just wish to voice my opinion on a couple things. Several weeks ago, I stopped visiting this site when the site's owner treated me as though I were a child when I confronted him with a legitimate problem occurring with the forum software. The movement was originally made for pocket watches but the transition aspect here is the case. American Watch Case Company provided this modified case specifically to make it a wrist watch. Most evident here is the fact that the case back hinge is at a 90 degree angle to the strap whereas the hinge location if the lugs were welded on a pocket watch would be at the 6 or 9 location of the dial.by RR218 - Poor Man's Watch Forum Wow, that looks like quite an excursion, beautiful scenery for sure! - 6 weeks ago

As I have stated in the topic today, my watchmaker has loaned me this wonderful Waltham transition watch to wear for a while. This is a Sterling silver cased Waltham 1900, 3/0 movement produced in about 1914 (+/-3 years according to databases). My watchmaker recently completely rebuilt it and had to re-attach the wire lugs to the case.
