After my last GTG experience with being caught unaware of some bad road construction, I gave myself an extra hour to drive from Madison, WI to Oak Brook, IL. Naturally there was no traffic disruptions so I arrived 90 minutes early. Killed most of that extra time browsing photography books at Borders, then drove the last 4 blocks to Giordano's for the appointed 1pm meeting.

Larry had arrived before me, and was talking to Paul on the phone. We were seated and waited for the rest of the posse to storm the place.

I must of caught P12 unexpectedly. Here's a retouch with a smile.

Who remembered to bring watches this time?

There was food too...

More mingling...

Uhh, gosh. Let me check for some spare change under the seat of my car...

Made it to my home just after sunset, and this thing was up in the sky. If you've been reading the photo forum at all last week, you might know by now that I recently purchased a vintage 500mm mirror lens and a new tripod. They work.

I submitted that last photo to be the "weather pic of the day" on WKOW-TV tonight. We'll see if it is used in the coming days now.
Other relevant stats: left home at 8:40am, arrived back home at 7:45pm, used $54 worth of gas, and didn't lose a single watch!
