No image because I need help: Blood Beach (1980) watch
(Mr. Administrator, I don't have a screen shot because the film the watch is from is apparently not available on English language DVD's and if it were I would certainly zoom in on the paused screen and take a picture. I will describe it to the best of my ability, however and hope you will take pity on me for not having a multi-million dollar audiovisual studio and access to rare films. (This is the POOR Man's watch forum site, right? In the 1980 released horror movie "Blood Beach", actor David Huffman was wearing a large four subdial watch of unknown origin. I can barely see it on my old VHS tape and all pictures I tried were hopelessly blurry and dark. The scene I see him wearing it is where he's venturing down into a dark, dusty, creaky stairwell into a gloomy subterranean basement of a building that no longer exists. Frustratingly, this is the only scene in this obscure movie where the watch is close enough to see the dial momentarily. What I do see is a FOUR subdial chronograph with two subs on top and two on the bottom position. Huffman was 34 or 35 at the time of the filming and had some films under his belt. Perhaps he splurged on a high end chrono or perhaps he went to Sears and bought a funky big Japanese quartz chrono- we don't know, Unfortunately. David Huffman died tragically in 1985, only five years after this film and at the young age of 39. Bringing to PMWF's attention the mystery of the unusual watch he wore for "Blood Beach" is my small way of keeping his memory alive. I hope someone here can help with any suggestions or screenshots of this watch or in fact any info on any kind of pre-1980 four subdial chronographs that were produced. RIP David Huffman 1945-1985.
