I was fortunate to find this Shaolin watch in decent shape, although the plating is showing some wear. Named after the famed near Luoyang in Henan province.

I bought it as a reminder of my April trip to Luoyang...and also because I like the logo and the martial arts caseback wink. Shao from nearby Shaoshi Mountain and Lin meaning "forest" where the monastery is located. The Mudan movement was made by Luoyang Watch Factory.

The next is a Beijing Watch Factory made 2nd grade LingHua (菱花 or LingHua means "carnation") with a 20 jewel movement and cool dial indices. Beijing resident, WUS moderator (and very experienced VCM collector) Soviet noted that the watch with these indices is rare enough that he has only seen two in his years of collecting.
