I like Pilot watches and I have a few. Some however tend to be expensive, especially if they are Swiss or German made. I thought why wouldn’t Seiko make one that was good looking and of a proper size? They have a smaller one that is 38mm or so but while that is good for smaller wrists, I wanted something that was a little larger. At 42mm this is a pretty good size, not perfect by any means, but at least another option. It was made using all Seiko parts, the case is from a Military Seiko SNZG series, sandblasted case it appears, the dial is from the BFS SNKF011, the hour and minute hands are from a Seiko FFF and the seconds hand is from a Seiko 5. So Seiko has all the parts that they need to make it. They didn’t but I did.
I like it and therefore I thought to share. Here are a few photos to show the result, sorry for the lint and dust specs, but I hope you enjoy nevertheless.
