About a year ago I bought a Sea Fighter. Over the months, I noticed that the watch had become a 'drawer queen' and I noticed that it's the 'bling' case that put me off. A while back another Sea Fighter owner here on the forum had his watch brushed by Jack at IWW (if I recall correctly). To my taste, the result was great.
I discussed the same treament for my watch with my watch maker. We decided to give it a try. So, earlier this morning I drove the 50 miles SE. He gave me a cup of coffee and pulled up a chair, making things easier to watch. He completely dismantled the watch and started brushing the case with some sort of Scotch Brite pad on a professional/industrial looking machine. Within minutes, the 'bling' disappeared. We decided to keep te bezel polished: giving the watch a vintage look.
He reassambled the watch and pressure tested it again (200m, no problem!), so it's fit to go!
Anyway, the result (for comparisson)the last pic is an older pic of the watch a few months ago
