Been some time since an update.

Have scratched several vintage itches and found a novelty piece at truly novel pricing! In any case
I've had a great deal too much fun and am here to share some toys 'cause that's what we do!
First - already posted but part of the same cache of acquisitions, the Ruhla UMF 24-31 Mio handwinder
with sub-sec. With NOS dial and super clean case & movement, I just couldn't resist.

...

Next is another very charming little Russian fellow, 50s-60's Pobeda ZIM, which satisfies my need to balance-with-white my overly black-dial'd collection. Spy vs Spy?

...

Next, a humble Gruen Precision found for a song - which I suspect will restore very easily to a nice standard.

...

Next - as a emerging fan of vintage British watches, I found this black dialed '70's Services "Super-Calander" to be likewise irresistible and have already found a local source for case re-plating at very reasonable prices! May get a couple done. Needless to say, I'm having too much fun! Services was a private company (purely civilian) who apparently outsourced everything and then sold in UK. Some earlier examples use Smiths movements so are 100% Britisher. This later model of course has a very basic-looking Swiss handwinding movement. I've included some old ads which I found posted in other threads, just for flavor smile

...

Last - a bit of a novelty piece I've been loosely hunting for, now found at a giveaway price. I won this by $2 over minimum bid, with only one other bidder, who was obviously an under-achiever! jk In any case, was looking for a compass watch in use for work (directional data, I don't carry computers anymore by choice) in a style something other than Casio/Pulsar/Timex. So, found this truly NEW unworn still in-case NOS '88 Revue Thommen Lhotse Expedition from a Swiss dealer on 'Borg. Its headed this way with new battery & 2-year warranty. Unbelievable.

Thats all for now. Thanks for looking!
