After recently spending a good bit of time and looking through the Rob Report and seeing some of the very high-end watches with exhibition faces. This really gives you a taste for exhibition watches with fine detail. This months Rob Report features a watch that has an exhibition front. A very handsome watch and the silver tone they had with black strap was attractive for sure. As we did more reading on the watch we found the price tag. The cost of this watch would cause the average guy to spend nearly a lifetime to capture. The price on the featured watch was $950,000.00 and this is with no stones. As most of us know many of these watch movement take at least 6 months per movement. That is a lot of man hours. Often times we like these due to the complexity and detail.

China has been used for years for more labor intensive jobs. That is where we get the term fine china. For many many years China has been know for their detail. Adee Kaye watches have been made since 1997 and currently movements are used from Switzerland, Japan, and yes even China. Below you can see one of the movements that Adee Kaye incorporated a Chinese Movement set. The extreme amount of detail used in this movement can be very costly and time consuming. If you know where to go in China you can get this done at the correct price and still have a quality reliable movement.

If you want a certain quality level and a great deal of detail sometimes China can be a very valid/smart choice.

This is taken with a blow-up picture of the exhibition face in the background and a full watch shot on-top of this. This way we can see the overall piece and the extra detail our camera team captured and no it is not $950,000.00. So, yes a Chinese Exhibition can pay off if you know where to look!

Thanks and as always enjoy!
