I was a member here way back when, but all my poor man's matches were stolen from my home, save one, which is not really a PM's watch, but everyone here was always so helpful I thought I would see what happens. So I am back, reregistered a newbie. I have a Seiko SLQ009 that I got a great deal on in the Turks years ago. It was the only watch that was not home when my home was burglarized two years ago. A known issue with these watchs was the power storage, wont go into detail, but a watch that should have a 30 day reserve now has just a few hours. Complicating this is the fact that the watch is built in such a way that repair means complete disassembly of the unit. I can't seem to find anyone willing to try. I have also heard that the repairs cost upward of $900 bucks, and I can't see paying that much.
Does anyone have any idea where I can get this watch repaired? Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction.
