As I had already said yesterday, if the weather would be also good today the Sunday, I would try to make a couple of pics of that place where the cliffs are. We have seen many times this area , simply known as Komos , or Komos beach but this is shot from a very different angle, another beautiful spot which is between Matala and Komos and is a very good place to go for a walk , especially if weather is good.
On first pic, is an old fishing boat that is put on the yard of a very nice taverna of an uncle of mine, '' Kedraki'', very good place to be in Summer!

This is a wilder area and those coming here should always be a little more carefull to where they step and how to go up or down, e.t.c.....Thirty years ago , the walk down the cliff to a totally remote and smal beach was easier. Now , because of many rocks and soil that have fallen, it is kind of tricky. I did not make lots of pics, because I was already tired and it was getting hotter. But I will try for better ones, next time!

Now, look who lives arround there!

A baby Cedar is trying to survive , too! These wild CEDAR TREES that live in the area are protected and treasured since besides the wild beauty they have, it takes them a really long time to grow up and look like big trees. A cedar that will be taller than a human and cast shade enough on that human, can easily be considered to be from 700 years old up to a 1000 !!!

Bigger Cedars here, still young in looks but already old for our human standards.....

The Cedar is also found in a few other countries and according to specialists it was one of the ingredients for the formula that ancient Egyptians were using for their mummies preservation. Sounds very logic because it is known in our days that Cedar can be and is used in similar fields , medicine, cooking, e.t.c.....
I must thank you for looking here. Weather , since early afternoon has changed again to strong wind.......Well, we should be seeing some winter-time too.
