Just the way the straps thread through the lugs and under the watch adds extra bulk to the entire package. I long ago gave up on wearing one-piece straps on larger watches for this reason. They do help a smaller watch feel bigger in a good way. smile

As for me, I won't wear a watch that big anymore. My wrist is a bit smaller, more like 6 3/4 inches around. 42mm is ordinarily my maximum size, but I have a handful of 43mm watches that I like to wear. I need to try them on at that size to see if it works first.
