Haha, I have not been able to figure out how the use the other two dials (3:00 and 6:00) on my Parnis 50mm. The hands are real...they aren't just for looks. I mean it's a Miyota movement, so i assume there is a way to work them. Everything else works, both second hands work as they should. Do any of you guys know anything about this? I have looked on google and I can't seem to find any instructions about it. The bottom button starts and stops the stop watch hand (big second hand) and the top button resets it to the 12 position. So, I just have no idea how to work the other two dials.

Thanks to you both! The 6:00 dial is minutes, and the 3:00 is hours.

anjizkit35February 01, 2013 05:40AM

Puzzled: where would the subdial at 3 point for 10 hours 36 minutes?

benhemp52February 01, 2013 03:52AM

Answering my own question: 6 mins and 36 mins are indistinguishable Jpeg Attachments URL

benhemp28February 01, 2013 04:40AM

i like the omega... but working with 2 subdials and a sweep sec hands to count the time has its own old-school charm >>

anjizkit34February 01, 2013 05:09AM

no... its very easy to differentiate 6 vs 36 >>

anjizkit38February 01, 2013 05:05AM

Agreed: you can tell, but only by carefully looking at the hours register. (n/t)

benhemp32February 01, 2013 05:19AM

Dave M37February 01, 2013 11:34AM

Chris L36February 01, 2013 03:05AM

Nuvolari39February 01, 2013 06:05AM

A chronograph should have one dial register minutes, the other hours.

Chris L38January 31, 2013 11:41PM

That i have not. By chronograph, you mean the bg seconds hand right? Boy I am really showing my ignorance here. haha (n/t)

Lawrence Talbot39January 31, 2013 11:45PM

Yes. The "stopwatch" function.

Chris L38February 01, 2013 12:12AM
