The Elgin came in the mail a while ago, I gave it a full service but also needed a replacement click, the spring came in Yesterday in a parts movement, today it's ready to go. The watch is installed in a relatively uncommon Green gold filled case that is 7.5mm thick including the crystal which makes it officially an ultrathin watch. It is powered by an
Elgin Cal. 712 which is related to and probably shares numerous parts with the
Elgin Cal. 770 which is noteworthy for being one of a very few mass produced movements equipped with a free sprung balance. Here's the pictures;
